Golin has appointed Jeff Beringer as its first Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. Beringer will be responsible for leading the implementation of a multi-year strategy to drive AI innovation, upskill Golin’s workforce and help design future AI-driven client service models.

“It’s been really interesting in our journey with clients around AI over the past 18 months, the changes that we’ve seen and what they need from agency partners like us, and there’s more and more clarity,” Beringer said. “This year, the work that we’re doing with clients is entirely around application and getting to better outputs and better results for them.”

Beringer will also be focused on optimizing Golin’s long-term client relationships to explore how AI can be used to strengthen client partnerships in the future, in part by leveraging Golin’s existing partnerships with Microsoft, Adobe Firefly and Waldo.

Additionally, the agency has been developing its own solutions to solve communications problems, including a program to pre-test content for clients using AI and a partnership with counter-disinformation platform Cyabra.

A 20-year veteran of the agency, Beringer most recently served as Global President of Digital. In his new role, Beringer will continue to serve as a strategic adviser to Golin’s digital practice and its global digital leadership team offering services in social strategy, content and campaigns, influencer, community engagement and paid media and analytics.

Beringer will report to Golin Chief Operating Officer Gary Rudnick.
